Memorials to Mak
This page is dedicated to Makaili “Mak” Evans in whose memory FORMAK was created. Mak was a kind, gentle kid with an enormous heart. Mak took time to make others laugh and feel special, especially the new kid or someone who felt singled out. No one was ever lonely when Mak was around; he had countless friends and was loved by so many.

“Mak Evans the Great” - Post by Mom

My 13-year-old son, Makaili “Mak” Evans jokingly called himself “Mak Evans the Great”. I found humor in this phrase, but of course, being his mother, I thought he was pretty great and I always knew there was something extra special about him. My broken heart is still beating, and Mak continues to be great by inspiring me to make positive changes and use my pain for a purpose.
Coffee for a Stranger - Rick Veit

An act of kindness by Rick Veit:
It was simple. But in the spirit of kindness, and in memory of Mak, I paid for the person's coffee order behind me in the drive-thru at Starbucks.
Fried Mushrooms from Heaven - Valerie Arias

An act of kindness by Valerie Arias:
While rushing between work meetings, I made a quick stop for the best mushrooms in town. The girl said, the car in front of you paid for you. As she handed me my order, she said it's for Mak. As I drove off, tears started rolling down my face. Followed by gratitude for the difference Makaili continues to make in the world.
