April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month

Updated: Mar 31

Congress designated April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month in 2010 and since then the National Safety Council (NSC) has led this annual campaign to prevent distracted driving and save lives. For this year’s observance, NSC is focused on helping participants understand the three main types of distractions – visual, manual and cognitive – and encouraging everyone to help protect themselves, their co-workers and their communities by avoiding distracted driving.

During the month, we encourage individuals and organizations to access free resources at nsc.org/JustDrive, take the Just Drive pledge to drive distraction-free and share photos of their teams holding our #JustDrive sign to promote their efforts to prevent distractions.
